Cheshire Heart and Goa Mug

Don't trust the pictures below, they were taken last weekend, and the weather is finally turning towards to what is supposed be autumn here. Today morning was gloomy, windy and in anticipation of some nice rain. Just like me. No, I am not gloomy but opposite, and I have some nice plans for today evening, as I've got a chance (yey!) to spend it with myself, what happens quite rarely. Though I'd prefer to spend it with my D too, it cannot happen due to an important (of course) monthly meeting they hold at his work place. So here I will be crocheting, cooking a little, watching something or reading.
Last Sunday I made a Cheshire heart for a friend of mine I got to know through the internet over 3 years ago when searching for information about India and relationships issues with Indians... :) hehe, I know, so I found a blog which gave me a clear picture, without hiding anything and at the same time telling interesting things about this country. Can you imagine I finally met its author here in our city! She came to India again to travel with her little son, and I couldn't invent a better present for her rather than the hand made heart, considering that she needed something light in weight to carry along all her journeys. Made with love to spread love and joy. The girl also did a photo shoot for me and my D :) The second one we get as a gift from our friend!
I couldn't find proper light for long time, and particularly like this photo of the heart among my garden's savage greenery.
If  you have never heard of Goa, it is a smallest state of India famous for its beaches and New Year Carnival, and is a former Portuguese province. It is one of my dream destinations too, as I have never been there in more than 3 years of life in India! So this cup could be a projection of my dream, as visualized it is more likely to come true, isn't it? We bought it at a local fair last Saturday. With the thoughts of the beaches and ocean, I continue my day and wishing you to have a nice one wherever you are, my dears! Peace \/ ! Have a wonderful weekend as well!

A New Award - One Lovely Blog

Hello friends! Hope your weekend went well and you enjoyed it to the fullest. We had a wedding reception to attend on Saturday evening, it was a special one as the same intercultural Indo-Russian family as ours was born. We are so happy for newly wed and I feel we can all become really good friends now :)
Yesterday me and D went out in the evening to have some South Indian food. As soon as we reached the parking and went a few meters inside it, a sudden storm was up and started whirling dust and plastic packets around, the trees were also disturbed a lot, it was really scary to be so close to them in the car, and when the hurricane subsided we hurried to the cafe.
The unusually strong storm brought devastation in the city, leaving broken trees, crashed cars, injured people, and even dead after itself. I am thankful we were safe, and we got off only with 2 hours without electricity at home. I saw many fallen trees on the way to the office today, some say that one of the shops in sector 17 where I work, had glasses broken and furniture misplaced. I hope that such weather will not repeat.
Now to good news in my blogging life - I got a One Lovely blog award by a beautiful Greekwitch from Dreaming of Rosemary blog. Thank you so much Georgina,  it was an honor :)

2. I studied at the university for free, at the same time getting monthly stipend.
3. I don't really like my current job.
4. I don't want to have children  yet.

4. Sunny Simple Life - a blog I found through search of same Sunny Days title as mine. Have a look at bright homely ideas at Elaine's Sunny Simple Life.
5. Rhissanna - the author shares her journey in doll making and believe me there is always something beautiful to see in her creations, I love the doll clothing she makes.

Red Christmas Star Decoration

Life seems to be turning to its quiet side again. After all those festivals, which indeed create a lot of buzz around and at home, I shall admit I feel relaxed finally... and excited at the same time. The first half of November has passed by what means that all the winter holidays are not far away and I am trying to charge myself by creating some Christmas and New Year goodies for home decoration. I have come up with the Red Christmas Star decor piece. The pattern was improvised by me. But what I like the most is this yarn with sequences I purchased from the yarn market last weekend. Isn't it gorgeous? You just don't actually need anymore sparkles to add.
I was thinking of making a tutorial or write a pattern for the same, but can't find time for this, unfortunately. May be tomorrow :) I made some more stars using simple acrylic yarn. Looks good, but no shimmer is there of course.
The stars are hanging on my room's wall, I like them. However they look a little lonely, I might think of some bunting to hang on the same wall.
We are having out personal "friendship day" today as happened so we are meeting many of our fellows tonight, while another friend of ours came from Delhi and wants to meet us too!
Have a great weekend, don't forget to enjoy it :)

Cards from Deer Little Fawn :)

This is a post about how happy and surprised I was when I finally received these lovely beautiful cards as a giveaway gift from my fellow blogger Beth.  :) She does wonderful drawings and sketches, with floral, animal motifs, which you can check out on her blog Deer Little Fawn and the site Forest Lodge Illustration. So I have been liking the drawings since I joined the blog, and no wonder I was really happy to have them with me now...Why was I surprised then? Because the cards reached me just in one week time, from UK to India, in spite of anything, magically! Thank you a lot, Beth! I also just adore cats, so I was very glad to have that cute cat among the cards :) And of  course all those beautiful flowers.
