I know I am very spontaneous this week. I do posts about this and that - things my life consists of. My soul was very happy today as well as my body, which truly got heated up in the last couple of weeks. Yes, it rained heavily today. I finished my office the exact time it started pouring water from the sky... I was more than grateful to the Nature for giving us this relief. I expect evening to be cool and soothing.
I reached home, did some house things quickly and made a cup of black coffee for myself. After that I went back to the house, but a timely and wonderful thought struck me to go out and have a pleasant time under the cloudy sky.. with the same cup of coffee - it tasted special. It looked special, reflecting the sky on its surface. I haven't felt such joy for a long time... I was looking around, on our plants trying to guess their feelings about this blissful weather today. They were grateful too, I could see it.
My eyes fell on this waving plant which grows in the pot under the citrus tree you can see at the background. Last year it was very small, continuously drying, loosing its leaves, I thought it wouldn't make it. But look at it now - so green, so lively and ready to meet sunshine every morning and kiss the stars every night.
Rainy weather always makes me dreamy... makes me happy... makes me feel good and content. It makes me feel I am home.
Wishing you all a blissful weekend!
I'm drinking black coffee right now!
ReplyDeleteI hope it was as tasty as mine, Debra!
DeleteI love the rain too. That's why I lived up in the Pacific Northwest USA for so long. The climate is very cool and wet. I treasure rainy days here on the east coast now too. They are so cozy. I love to do crafts, read or watch movies all comfy. At night if it's raining, I'll go to bed early and read just to listen to the rain.
ReplyDeleteRight, cozy is what I associate with rain... you can do crafting, have some nice hot drink or simply day dream...
DeleteWow Anna... it rained? I am waiting ... The blazing sun needs a break too na? How long the wait would turnout is to be seen now. Too hot out here. 41 degree cent. It burns if you go out. Nevertheless... am making raw mango pickle called chhunda which is kept in the sun... some use of hot summer :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week end
It did, Aishwarya! It was an awesomely pleasant weather! Come here, we will go to the hills!
DeleteMy in-laws also make some pickles and so on keeping them on the sun..I never tried myself though.
Have a nice week!
Have a great weekend, rain or shine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlotte! Have a wonderful week ahead!
DeleteI ADORE the rain - nothing better than a nap on a really rainy day, either! I had to smile, and thought of you immediately this week - our local paper ran a full page article on Holi, with beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is wonderful, full of pretty rain, Anna - XOXO
Nap??? No naps for me!hehe) I become uneasy and desire to go out so much on rainy days!
DeleteOh really? I'll tell my husband :)
Wishing you a blissful week ahead, dear Tanya!
How true you write Anna, i feel the same way about rain! Love the season, the hope, the way everything in nature gets cleaned by rain. Rain is somehow so very romantic na? I used to enjoy the rains so much, especially walking in the slight drizzle. But now with kids, it has changed and i miss the small things i used to do :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend!
Love..

Rain is the most romantic state of the weather (of there is such:))!!! I LOVE monsoon season... Doe sit rain frequently in China? What weather do you have there now?
DeleteHave a fabulous week, Rajeshwari!
Love to you too...
Couple of days back, we too had rains. Isn't it so wonderful? No amount of ACs can give that feeling. I love the smell of earth when it rains, kinda soothing :)
ReplyDeleteWe commonly call that plant as money plant and use it for decor. My parents' place have many of those. I am actually a bad Gardner, so I prefer plants with colours and self striped leaves. So even if the flowers don't bloom properly, still it looks colourful:)
Wishing you a blissful weekend too ;o) Your plants were dancing in the rain ;o) They were thanking the blessed rain for coming down ;o) I love the rain too ;o) Love your pink pants and pink nail polish ;o) Take Care ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for liking my pink pants and nails! it was a great weekend...now getting hot again, I hope it'll get humid enough to give some refreshment again :)
DeleteI love the rain too especially when it's hot out. Cute coffee cup :) xx
ReplyDeleteDear Anna, I have finally made a post with the award you gave me. Please check. Evu - Amateurcrafts.blogspot.com

DeleteBangalore is called the AC city, and guess what my city has finally got its AC repaired. It rained here too :-) And I loved it.
ReplyDeleteMangoes are the only exciting thing during summer :-) Have you tasted the variety of mangoes in India? :-) you'll love them
Ranjitha
I heard about Bangalore's nice weather many times..but haven't gone there myself.
DeleteI tried mangoes, yea!, and I love this fruit! Now the season has started and we them everywhere in fruit markets.
This is such a beautiful post although at times it rains at the most annoying of times eg. picking up the girls from school I too find it most relaxing and I do love how it cleans and refreshes everything too. Have a wonderful week.:)
ReplyDeleteThat is why I also like the rain - when it is just so refreshing and pleasant :)
DeleteHave a great day, Catherine!
