Essential Gift

How great it is to get a gift for your birthday a week after! Yes, it happened to me, when I got a parcel containing three essential oils - a gift from my husband. To tell the truth I chose the oils myself on line, but can you imagine that they came all way from Calcutta (it's like 1646 km from my city)! I am so happy to receive them:) I tried Eucalyptus already; it was nicely filling the room with its healthy fragrance. Tea tree and lemon grass are next.
What would I do without an essential gift these cold days?:) I assumed that Eucalyptus oil will be great for preventing cold, and I actually breathed easier after inhaling it. Some argue that vaporization of oils affects their medicinal benefits, but I believe that it's not that bad as soon as the aroma lamp is freshly filled.  I'd like to add Tea tree oil to the oil mixture for face cleansing (you can find the oil cleansing method in Mrs.Micawber's Recipe for Happiness blog here). And of course, Lemon grass essential oil is my favorite and so inspiring with its citrus fragrance!
If you got inspired to lit an aroma lamp too,  you can find the properties and the use of essential oils  here as to select what you wish. Have a happy day and keep warm!

  2. Good that you are enjoying your gifts! Many times, I end up giving gift after few days which is followed by my hubby's melodramatic comment,"your love is the biggest gift for me" ;)
Ooty, a hill station in South India is also famous for such therapeutic oils:) I got few when I had been there few years back, but did not know how to use those then.
