Walks in the Rose Garden

Hello and how are you my dears? Phew, the month of March is getting over soon! Where the days are being swallowed? The week starts and it's already mid of it... Not enough hours in a day and not enough days in a week.. Can we invent just one more and call it suppose Extraday? Eh? No I guess this is just imagination...
On a serious note... These days I always think of what is really important in life and what we shall let go... Seeing horrible and scary things happening
around the world, which show that life of someone (including animals) means nothing, what are we left with? Can we make a change?
I am dreading the moment my D turns on the TV... news... nothing positive at all there, he says too... the world will have to come to an end some day... We fear for our little son because things are not looking so good in terms of child safety in India, but then where is safe? No guarantee anywhere. If I was not a parent now it would have been easier to simply live life, but when you have a child all you think of is how to keep him happy and healthy. At the same time one shall be happy too in order to provide a good environment at home, where everyone feels secure and cozy.
Hence I would really prefer concentrating (as mush as selfish it sounds) on my family. Thinking about what happens tomorrow is useless, having fear of all the bad and negative is similarly pointless... That's why I have (and make) one choice which is family.
As I had written before we always visit gardens on weekends. Lately we have been liking the Rose Garden a lot. It has a vast area, beautiful roses to admire, and fountains. The latest is little A's favourite - he loves water in any form and calls it "mam, mam" in Hindi (meaning "water" as here it is called for little kids). Here is the last to last weekend walk, when the weather was slightly cloudy.

I love this kind of color - cream, creamy pink and orange... Next time we visit Rose Garden, I will take more photos of these beautiful flowers.
And the last weekends' walk... Little A likes this garden too, and I think that the pleasant noise of the fountains and overall green surroundings calm him down. He runs in front of us, exclaiming happily with every step.
The waxing crescent... It was so bright!
By the time we were leaving the garden the twilight set in, and we were able to witness beautifully lit fountains.

Yes, it is a good place to divert one's mind and to just walk  and spend precious time with the family.
I realized that I had not posted some very interesting events and occasions during the period I was away from blogging. Like5 days in  Moscow, and visitng my home town. Do you think it is late to do? Or would you like to see the Russian capital? Let me know so I can plan the posts for you my friends.
Have a nice day, and may life be secure and safe wherever you are!

  1. Well said! The world has become an unsafe place for everyone. I wish that everyone would be happy with their life and not try to be so violent. Beautiful roses.

    1. I wish this too Charlotte... but too many bad things happen and too difficult to change them. Unless all the people of the world decide to change too...

  2. Yes, please post your Moscow and other Russian photos! I for one would love to see them! I don't expect to ever travel to Russia so this would be the closest I can come.

Yes, the news is scary these days but such is the way of the world. One needs to be aware yet not dwell on things we can't control. A hard balancing act.

  8. Hi Anna, Happy Holi,
A seems to be enjoying himself a lot. You are lucky to have such lovely gardens. In Ahmedabad, Kankaria Lake is my favourite place, which has a lake, of course, as well as mini trains, zoo, gravity defying rides and a laser light show at night. One must take pleasure in these little moments, because as you said a lot is dreadful with the world right now. Everyday there seems to be some new crisis. We can only pray for the best.
At this age, my son loved water too and used to call it Mani instead Pani! His first rainy day he went absolutely crazy :)
Have a lovely day. And Holi Mubarak to A.

    1. Hi Sangeetha! Happy Holi to you too! I had no time to post about it yet :)But we celebrated in the morning with family.

Isn't it nostalgic to dig into memories about our kids? Even I already have them.. and I miss those moments.

  9. Lovely pictures!! I guess the weather in Chandigarh must be still pleasant. It has turned 41C here now.
I know becoming mother comes with lot of worries and it has got nothing to do with places but mostly with mothers. I have taken worrying attitude from my mother. But she wasn't possessive. I am possessive about my daughter too and a bit of bossy, but now I have let her go do what she wants. You will know of more insecurities when your child gets hooked on to Internet too. So just think good and as you say, spend happy time with family. We laugh a lot at home and scream a lot too. But mostly the scream and scolding comes from me:)

    1. Yes, the weather is still bearable, and it is slightly cold in the evening. oh my! +41? Too much...

Oh, worries are there always!!! Every single second... how do we protect them from all the bad? I know not possible to do this all the time,

We laugh too and scream, and kiss and hug!!! :) Kids bring so much life to our life...

  11. Definitely want to see pics from your visit home. You are right to put your family first and create a cozy atmosphere at home and do things that bring you joy. In fact, if everyone did that instead of worrying about what others are doing or not doing, then the world would be a more peaceful place. I hate watching and reading the news. The media only wants to fill our heads and hearts with negativity so that hatred and evil continues. I refuse to be a part of that. A quote I posted on my Instagram the other day said "We live in a world of discord and we can either participate in its chaos ... or seek to be gracious agents of harmony and good will." (Dr. Gregory L. Cruell) ... wishing you a wonderful day! Blessings, Tammy

  12. I would LOVE to see Russia through your eyes, my friend...PLEASE! And, you cut little A's hair! Wrap your thoughts and arms around that little one and let that take the place of depressing everyday news stories (but be cognizant of your surroundings and his safety, for sure). LOVE the new blog background, too - XOXO

  13. Hi Anna,
My first visit here.It was a pleasure going through your posts and reading some good things (and some concerns) about India. Its four months since I left India.I am in Germany now and I can perfectly understand your situation being in a different country. And genuinely appreciate the efforts you're putting in to teach language to your little one.
Keep aside your apprehensions and enjoy the little pleasures of life. :)
